Across the street from arguably the best LCBO in the province is a good place to be for an indy coffee shop that also does great bourbon. Being just down the street from my apartment is also great.

Boxcar Social recently offered Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch bourbon on the menu. I decided to give it a try. The distiller promised “Notes of orange peel, dates, roasted nuts and tobacco lead to a sweet finish that is complemented by a hint of intense oak.” I would say that’s accurate, I got the orange peel and tobacco for sure.
